A good team performance from the Colts saw them ease to a five-goal win with goals from Ollie Larsen (2), Fynn Turner-Kilburn, Ben Hewitt and Will Hall.

Despite their enterprising attacking play, the

Colts were also endebted to goalkeeper

Brandon Baxter, who pulled off a string of impressive saves to preserve a clean sheet.

Colts: Baxter, Middleton, Poole, Hewitt, Henderson, Larsen, Turner-Kilburn, Hall.

Barnham Trojans 3

Barnham raced into a three-goal lead after 20 minutes.

But City keeper Harry Yeo sparked the revival with a string of fine saves.

Alfie Shaw struck either side of the break to put City back in it and a neat finish by Patrick Turner drew them level.

Turner then created his own chance to claim the winner.

COLTS: Yeo, Thorne, East, Yelland, Jessop, Scutt, Shaw, Amos, Culver, Carter, Turner, Logan, Rose.

Middleton Diamonds C 2

Whyke 2

Middleton were first to strike when a powerful shot just eluded Josh Toop in the Whyke goal.

Whyke had to wait until the second half for an equaliser, Reiss Cunningham finishing well following a strong run.

They went in front when a through ball to George Collins saw him finish well.

Whyke had chances to kill off the game, but failed to make their dominance pay.

Middleton rallied at the end and finally beat Whyke keeper Charlie Lomas with less than a minute to go.

Top-of-the-table Colts opened the scoring with a headed goal after a few minutes.

But they were soon on the receiving end as Adam Gooding claimed the first of his four goals.

Matt Mitchell struck a superb free-kick from nearly 30 yards.

After Gooding’s exploits Tom Perkins grabbed Barnham’s sixth.

Rob Pearson headed in the seventh and Dom Baker held off a series of strong tackles to round off the scoring.

Barnham: Moss, Read, Richards, Fincham, Ormiston, Gooding, Mitchell, Pearson, James, Baker, Wadey

Sub: Perkins, Faulkner.

Chichester City United 4 Chichester Colts A 3

United kept up their 100 per cent league record with a narrow win over their local rivals.

They took lead early on with a sublime Tom Knight strike.

Colts equalised through a superb individual effort from Charlie Pattison.

United retook the lead when striker Bradley Murphy beat the keeper in a one-on-one.

But Colts equalised again through Josh Rafferty.

United stepped up the pressure in the second half and Tom Greene put them ahead with a flicked header.

Colts responded well but the game appeared over when United went 4-2 up.

Nevertheless, Colts showed great character and were rewarded when captain Freddy Simmons scored.

Colts: Carvalho, Henderson, Douglas, Chittock, Smyth, Simmons, Pattison, Yilidrim, Hurford, Whibley-Conway, Rafferty, White, Dowdell.

Pagham B 1 Predator Blues 2

Predators made the early breakthrough, when a mistake from Pagham’s goalkeeper allowed Ben Porter to score his debut goal for the Blues.

Brandon Skinner made the game 1-1 with a fine finish.

A draw looked certain untilTom Ryder hit an outstanding left-footed volley from 20 yards, which flew into the bottom corner.

John Ryder said: “Pagham played really well and in fairness a draw was the only result we could have hoped for. But the winning goal was worthy of winning any game.”

Bosham 3

Barnham made the early running and were thwarted by some great saves by Charlie Ames.

Bosham settled and on the half-hour were rewarded when Danny Johnson scored a good goal after some great work down the right-hand side.

From a throw-in, Pete Dearden played in Chris Dobson, who calmly struck the ball home for Barnham’s equaliser.

And it was the home side who went in at the break ahead when Ollie Smith’s corner floated directly into the net.

Bosham came out for the restart looking for the equaliser, and were rewarded when Ryan Grace was brought down in the area and Jack Randall scored from the spot.

This seemed to fire up Bosham and James Cox was rewarded when his shot floated over Jamie Lambeth in the Barnham goal.

Smith again played a part in drawing Barnham back into the game. This time his well-taken corner was met by the head of Marcus Taylor.

Danny Johnson was unlucky when he hit the crossbar following a Bosham counter attack, but it was Barnham who grabbed the victory in the closing stages.

Ben Perkins directed a fine cross for Jonny James to execute a glancing header.

Victory kept Barnham on top of the table.

Barnham: Lambeth, Dobson, Richards, Taylor, Winterflood, Breheny, Menzies, Perkins, James, Dearden, Smith.

Sub: Fortin

Bosham: Ames, B Brown, Moore, Randall, Fewell, Johnson, R Brown, Pearce, Scott, Cox, Evans. Sub Grace
